![]() I had so much fun watching the kids work together in the wonderfully muddy sandbox that our WARM spring-like day brought us today. As the snow from last week quickly melted, it gave us some pretty big puddles! I would love for you all to read this fun article about the benefits you see when you Let Your Kids Get Dirty! I was again amazed today at how well the kids can cooperate with each other on a task that is so exciting to them, especially when paired with the knowledge that these wonderful puddles may not be there tomorrow. They were so excited when they got up from their naps and saw that the puddles were still out there! They decided that they wanted to make the puddles bigger, so together they worked to dig, scoop, and move the sand to expand the puddle. They planned, they envisioned, they predicted, they discussed, and together they made it happen. By the end of the day, they had lakes, and rivers, and mud islands filled with "houses" and they were the "giants" looking down on it all. What a productive day! :)

Thank you for taking my kids outside! It is wonderful to see the kids work together to build a streaming lake! I love it when my kids get dirty - they do to!
